Bio-pH gained status as a New Dietary Ingredient (NDI) with the FDA in 2006. The FDA does not “approve” natural product ingredients, but instead “accepts” their claims when backed-up with scientific proof. Bio-pH has had 27 functions accepted and is applying for a number of others. Having an NDI with the FDA is not only essential, but more and more difficult to obtain.
